Dr. Canal

Dentist

Dr. Canal graduated from the Indiana University School of Dentistry in 2016 with highest distinction after earning his undergraduate degree in biology. During dental school, he was recognized for his excellence in prosthodontics, an area of dentistry focused on restoring both the function and appearance of patients’ smiles.

Dr. Canal enjoys teaching and sharing his knowledge with others, whether he is helping patients better understand their dental care or working alongside members of the Canal Dentistry team.

Outside the office, Dr. Canal enjoys traveling and spending time with his wife and family. An Eagle Scout and lifelong soccer fan, he grew up playing the sport and still follows it closely today. He is also a devoted Indiana Hoosiers fan and proud IU alumnus. Dr. Canal may be a man of few words, but ask him about soccer, Indiana University—or, better yet, Indiana University soccer—and you’ll quickly see his more talkative side.

Amy C.

Office Manager and Licensed Dental Hygienist

Amy graduated with high distinction from the Indiana University School of Dentistry’s Dental Hygiene Program in 2013. With more than 13 years of experience in dentistry, she brings a broad understanding of both patient care and practice management to Canal Dentistry.

As both a licensed dental hygienist and office manager, Amy can be found throughout the practice wearing many different hats. She provides hygiene care while also overseeing the day-to-day operations of the office.

Amy especially enjoys helping patients navigate the parts of dental care that can sometimes feel confusing. Whether you have questions about your treatment plan, insurance benefits, or what comes next in your care, she is always happy to help.

Outside the office, Amy enjoys spending time with her family, painting and traveling.

Lori H.

Licensed Dental Hygienist

Lori graduated from John A. Logan College in 2005 and has been working in dentistry ever since. She enjoys helping patients understand the connection between oral health and overall health and wellness. Building lasting relationships with her patients is one of her favorite parts of being a hygienist.

At Canal Dentistry, Lori appreciates the great team and the beautiful environment and updated equipment made possible by the recent office expansion and remodel.

Outside the office, Lori enjoys time with her husband and children, including boy-and-girl twins and their older brothers. Her household also includes Milo, a 35-pound American Eskimo dog, and two mischievous teenage cats. She loves spending time with her sister and nephew, reading, and traveling—especially when a trip means eating her way around a new city.

Mackenzie Z.

Expanded Function Dental Assistant

Mackenzie completed her dental assisting education in 2024 and has been in dentistry for two and a half years. She especially enjoys assisting with extractions and dentures, where she gets to see patients smile confidently for the first time in a long time.

She loves the fun atmosphere at Canal Dentistry and how naturally the team works together to care for patients.

Outside of work, Mackenzie enjoys hiking, working out, crafting, reading, and baking. She shares her life with Cody, her partner of seven years, and her dog, Diaz, who turns ten on Valentine’s Day.

Jamie T.

Licensed Dental Hygienist

Jamie began working in dentistry in 2001 as a sterilization technician and dental assistant while she was still in high school. She graduated from Lakeland College in 2006 and became a licensed dental hygienist. She enjoys helping patients improve their oral hygiene and loves the confidence that comes with clean, healthy teeth.

For Jamie, the wonderful team and friendly environment make Canal Dentistry a place she loves to work. When asked what she likes most about the practice, her answer is simple: everything!

Jamie is married to her high school sweetheart, Kenny, and they have a son, Ethan, and a daughter, Kendra. Their young toy poodle, Max, keeps life lively. In her free time, Jamie enjoys being with her family, shopping, and watching Hallmark Christmas movies.

Joni F.

Expanded Function Dental Assistant

Joni completed her dental assisting education in 2011 and brings 15 years of experience in dentistry to Canal Dentistry. As a certified dental assistant and expanded function dental assistant, she loves seeing patients leave with their confidence and their smiles restored.

She values the positive, fun, and friendly work environment at Canal Dentistry and enjoys being part of a team that makes patients feel welcome.

Joni has been married to her wonderful husband for seven years and has three adult daughters navigating college life. At home, she has two dogs who believe they are human and a cat who is certain she is a princess. Outside of work, Joni enjoys college football games, dancing, camping, driving her new Jeep, and catching events at the Fishers Event Center.

Kayla E.

Scheduling Coordinator

Kayla has been in dentistry for two years. As our scheduling coordinator, she enjoys working with patients and helping them fit dental care into their busy lives.

Her favorite part of working here is her work family. She appreciates how much everyone cares about one another, and the sense of humor that makes each day more fun.

Outside the office, Kayla enjoys spending time with her three children, family, and friends, as well as getting out on the water to kayak. Her dog, Bonnie, affectionately known as Bonabooch, keep life interesting!

Skylynn K.

Insurance Coordinator

With five years of experience in dentistry, Skylynn helps patients understand their treatment plans, get answers to their questions, and work through barriers to receiving dental care. As our insurance coordinator, she enjoys helping patients feel more informed and comfortable with the next steps in their treatment.

Skylynn loves being part of a team that works together to give every patient the best experience possible at Canal Dentistry.

Outside of work, Skylynn enjoys spending time with her husband Kyle, and her sisters. She also loves crafting, doing nails, and crocheting.

Roselyn B.

Licensed Dental Hygienist

Roselyn earned her bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene from the University of Southern Indiana in 2002 and brings 25 years of experience in dentistry to Canal Dentistry. She enjoys seeing patients improve their oral health and helping them maintain those improvements over time.

Roselyn appreciates the great team at Canal Dentistry and the quality of Dr. Canal’s restorative work, which makes it easier for her to help patients keep their smiles healthy.

Outside the office, Roselyn enjoys spending time with her husband, Jim, her adult son, Hunter, and the dog she adores. She loves visiting state and national parks and settling in with a good book.
